A bit of history
  • 1967: Palazzo della Gran Guardia hosted Italian Wine Days. This was effectively the official debut of Vinitaly.
  • 1969: the third edition of Italian Wine Days saw the conference programme flanked by 130 wine cellars exhibiting their products.
  • 1971: the event became Vinitaly - International Wine-Growing Show - a full scale trade exhibition.
  • 1978: Vinitaly earned international status and opened its doors to attendance by foreign companies.
How to get there
Vinitaly provides to its guests a convenient Free Shuttle Bus service, connecting the main routes from and to the car parks, the city centre, the railway station and the airport to the Exhibition Centre. The buses are frequent as they leave every 20 minutes.
Vinitaly and the city
Every year also Vinitaly and the City takes place, the full-fledged Vinitaly off-show. Days of tastings, meetings and events enliven the historic center of Verona. Expect moments dedicated not only to wine but also to gastronomy, entertainment and music.
