Music will be the protagonist of the Veronese summer along with the inimitable scenario of the Verona Arena which hosts, as usual, operas and live concerts of internationally renowned artists.

Opera performances

The 102nd Arena di Verona Opera Festival is approaching and the opera stars are preparing to shine again on one of the most important stages in Italy.

The Arena Opera Festival is held every summer, approximately from mid-June to early September. If you visit Verona during this period, don’t miss the chance to go to the opera in the largest open-air opera house in the world.

If you haven’t planned to visit Verona yet, why not take this as an opportunity? The program includes 47 evenings of magnificent shows and you will find more details visiting Opera season at the Arena.

The highlight of the season will be a major new production of Nabucco by Stefano Poda, a quintessential choral and Arena drama, which will open the 2025 Festival with two consecutive evenings.

While many starts are returning this year,  also some debuts are much awaited: Anna Netrebko will be Abigaille in Nabucco for the first time in Italy, while Marina Rebeka will perform Aida for the first time in Italy. Aleksandra Kurzak will make her debut as the protagonist in Aida next to Roberto Alagna. Eagerly awaited debuts will be made by the American soprano Angel Blue and Samoan tenor Pene Pati, for the first time ever at the Arena, while soprano Erin Morley and tenor Enea Scala will make their stage debuts.

These are just some of the big stars of the upcoming summer at the Arena di Verona.
